What photos should I use for my slideshow?
If this is a slideshow that you want to present during your rehearsal dinner or reception, we
recommend including photos or printed memorabilia of:
• Your childhood memories
• People who have influenced your lives
• People in your wedding party
• How and where you met, fell in love, got engaged, etc.
• Special trips or life events you’ve shared
• People that you wish to thank for helping with the wedding (we can add text overlay)
If you want us to create a wedding compilation DVD, or slideshow that is created to bring all of your wedding memories
into a beautifully formatted digital scrapbook, we recommend including photos or printed memorabilia of:
• Your engagement and/or engagement party
• Your Bridal Shower(s)
• Your Bachelor or Bachelorette party
• Your rehearsal dinner
• The hours before the wedding
• The wedding ceremony and reception
• The opening of the gifts
• Your Honeymoon
What songs should I use for my slideshow?
The songs that you choose for your DVD will completely set the tone of your slideshow.We suggest including the
specific songs that were playing or will play during your ceremony, your first dance, the Father and Bride dance,
Mother and Groom Dance, Bridal Party Dance, or any other dedications at the reception. By giving us additional
song choices we can ensure that the music selections fit well with the desired emotional impact.
What types of media can you add to my slideshow?
Images
We prefer that any digital images are sent to us in JPEG format, but can work with most other digital image formats. We are also able to scan printed photos and other documents
(i.e. invitations, licenses, newspaper clippings, ticket stubs, flyers, etc.)
up to 8.5" X 14".
Video
If you are planning to use any video in your show we request that it be sent to us in MPG format.
If your video is not in this format we can easily convert it from AVI, DVD, Mini-DV Tape, MPG, VHS Tape, and most other video formats.
Audio
We prefer that any audio be supplied on a CD. Additionally, we can work with MP3, WAV, WMA, and most other audio formats.
When can I meet with you?
As soon as possible, please! Our availability is limited as we prefer to photograph
no more than two to three weddings per month. We will meet you at a time and location
that is convenient for you. Once you have decided on Extant Studios for your wedding photography
we will require at minimum one additional meeting to discuss all of your wedding day details.
We prefer to attend your rehearsal as we are able to meet a lot of your important guests and get to know you
a little more before your wedding day. Sound weird? It might, but we feel that it’s really important for you to be
familiar and comfortable with
your photographers. After your wedding, we will meet with you again to plan your heirloom wedding album layout
assuring that your exceptional day is preserved for generations to come!
Why do you have two primary photographers?
It’s the best of both worlds - at a great rate, too! Our photographers,
Dave and Mike, will only work together as a team. They are able to literally be
in two places at once (i.e. with the Bride while she is putting on her wedding dress
and make-up and at the same time with the Groom while he is getting his tie and coat put on).
They synchronize their cameras so that you will receive all of your photos in exact chronological order
– creating a play by play of each moment of your day!
Why do you only offer one wedding package?
For simplicity! Wedding planning is so complicated and it is easy to
overlook important details with all of the options and add-ons that are commonly offered.
We thought long and hard about what options our Brides and Grooms might need, want, and wish for
and combined them into one reasonably priced package. We even added some fun additions like a
video iPod for proof viewing and our online album preview.
Will I be charged for album design if I want a copy of my album?
No! Our album design services are available if you would like to add a completely different printed album in
addition to that supplied with our Wedding Photography Package. Also, you can order any other printed album
option for the price listed; your design will scale to any of the sizes!
